The City Business Hub on Castle Lane is an excellent service for the businesses in our city. The advice and signposting they provide is vitally important for both emerging and established businesses and provides much needed support. Their free business advice seminars which run throughout the year are excellent and are of great benefit to Belfast businesses.BCCM have used the free upstairs facilities of the hub on a number of occasions. Its central location makes for an easily accessible venue for City Centre Management events.

As Manager of the Regional Start Initiative, I hear from clients regularly that they want somewhere that they can call into and have a chat about their business idea.  The City Business Hub provides exactly this; a space for individuals starting a business to drop in and speak directly to a fully qualified business advisor, as well as great business information seminars available on relevant topics affecting all start-up businesses.

As the director of a social media company, I am aware of the lack of education some businesses have regarding Social Media. The Hub provides a strong platform to help give business owners the knowledge to find solutions to their marketing needs. I have delivered a few Seminars for them, and found their resources, facilities and enthusiasm to be top class. It is not just about marketing, organisations like this work hard to build many bridges to many areas of business, funding paths, networking tips and much more. Without them, small yet proud Countries like Northern Ireland would suffer larger gaps in cross-business understanding.

I recently attended the City Business Hub as part of an information day for new local food businesses. As a start-up social enterprise, I felt the set-up was fantastic and found the event to be extremely worthwhile. There was a great range of exhibitors, all of whom were very knowledgeable & provided me with excellent advice. Furthermore, the team involved in running the event were welcoming & very helpful from the moment I walked through the door. Their care & attention was even continued after the event providing me with the opportunity to network & develop links with other support bodies relative to my business model & field. Entering business alone can be a daunting task, however knowing there is a great support network nearby is very reassuring & I definitely plan on attending relevant future events at the City Business Hub.
